To his subjects her was their ruler Vlad Dracula. To his enemies he Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler) He was the Voivode of Wallachia (aka Prince of Romania) and a fierce enemy of the Ottoman Empire. He earned his spot as the inspiration for Dracula when he begun greeting his enemies by impaling him on stakes outside his castle. This rendition of him is inspired by a German engraving of him from 1491.
